Production Linked Incentive scheme for man-made fibre and the creation of seven mega textile parks in the country will help increase production and exports of the sector, AEPC said on Wednesday. Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) Chairman A Sakthivel said the MMF garment industry in India is poised for fast growth as the government has agreed to promote the sector. He was speaking at a virtual B2B meeting on Improving MMF Fabric Options for Indian Apparel Exporters . The council in a statement said that buying houses believe that Indian man-made fibre (MMF) garment exporters can aspire to grab USD 20 billion business in the global MMF garment trade even as the domestic apparel industry works at resolving its limitations.
The government wants to use public money to deepen Egypt s supply chain
Egypt s plans to attract significant foreign investment in its garment and textile manufacturing sectors have been delayed due to the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic – prompting the government to step in to spur development.
The government s Vision 2025 strategy had targeted attracting some US$17.5bn in foreign investment to quadruple textile and garment exports. But with the pandemic leaving the global clothing sector in the doldrums – and Egypt s exports down 20% last year – the government has earmarked some US$600m in public money to be invested in two tranches this year.

Noting that Mysuru is a Punya Bhoomi known for its spirituality, Vijayendra, who is the son of Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa (BSY), heaped praises on the erstwhile Mysuru Maharajas for making Karnataka a prosperous State. Pointing out that Suttur Mutt is like Aramane-Gurumane, he said that Veerashaiva-Lingayat community has shaped itself as the protector of all sections of the society.

Commerce Secretary Dr Anup Wadhawan on Wednesday said that the Budget for 2021-22 extensively envisages several initiatives and areas of focus, aimed at enhancing India’s overall competitiveness and manufacturing capacities, which would enable growth, diversification and technological enhancement of India’s exports. These cover both ease of doing business in the area of approvals and procedures, and the physical environment for investment, targeting a plug and play eco-system for investors.
Briefing the media on the Budget 2021-22 initiatives, he said that one primary area of focus is the creation of a robust infrastructure, logistics and utilities environment for the manufacturing sector.
