Construction truck snags power lines, crashes into pole closing intersection overnight

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A Pittsfield Township intersection remains closed Thursday morning after a Wednesday afternoon crash caused extensive damage to power lines and a utility pole.
At about 2:10 p.m. May 12, a construction truck with a boom and bucket entered the intersection of Textile Road and State Street where it snagged a power line and then struck a utility pole, according to the Pittsfield Township Police Department.
There were no injuries reported and no other vehicles involved in the crash, police said.
The crash resulted in a power outage in the area and the closing of the intersection. Power has since been restored, but the roadway is still closed as of 9 a.m. May 13.

LODI TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in a road rage shooting on Christmas Eve.
The incident occurred at about 9:45 a.m. in the area of Alber and Textile roads in Lodi Township. Deputies said the suspect fired gunshots, hitting the victim’s vehicle multiple times. Occupants in the vehicle were not injured.
