IPOH: Police have denied the allegations that a guest relations officer (GRO) at an entertainment centre here was the cause of the Covid-19 outbreak which led to the existence of the Jalan Canning Estate Cluster.
Perak police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the investigation found that the information being circulated was inaccurate.
“There is a misunderstanding. Several portals claimed that the woman works as a GRO but actually, she is a Chinese national with a valid passport and she also has a career.

IPOH: A total of 147 vehicles have been asked to turn back at roadblocks in Perak, says state police chief Comm Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid.
He said 117 vehicles were stopped along the North-South Expressway while 30 more were on the federal routes between May 1 and 10. We also issued 12 compounds against motorists who tried to enter the state without travel permits, he told reporters after visiting the Jelapang toll interchange here Tuesday (May 11). Among the reasons given by the motorists was that they wanted to visit their relatives, he said.

PETALING JAYA: Ramadan bazaars have mushroomed across the country where they are permitted to open with strict adherence to Covid-19 standard operating procedure.
Many of these markets in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur were seen restricting the number of customers on their sites. Patrons have to queue up for their turn to be served.
At a Ramadan bazaar in Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang, there was a long line of people waiting patiently to have their temperature scanned before being allowed into the premises.
