Bunny Wailer
The Jamaica Federation of Musicians and Affiliates Union (JFMAU) has hailed Bunny Wailer as a cultural icon who placed Jamaica’s music and culture to the forefront of all the corners of the world .
Bunny Wailer, whose real name is Neville O’Reilly Livingstone, died on Tuesday aged 73.
He was a Life Member of the JFMAU, which expressed condolences to the family and friends of the late musician. ‘Jah B’ as he was affectionately called in the industry, was a prolific songwriter, singer and percussionist who assisted in pioneering Reggae Music both nationally and internationally. During his sojourn, he mentored countless artistes and was known for his wry humour and forthrightness, the organisation said.
