Shahzad Akbar said that, “PEMRA is working under law, however, if an order is not complied with, contempt of court case is made.” Shahzad Akbar also said that he will tell Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the illegal actions by PEMRA for not airing BOL News in different areas of the country and placing the channel to the last number. “I will convey the voice of BOL to the Prime Minister. The voice of BOL must have reached PM Imran Khan by now,” said Shahzad Akbar.

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s veterinary department took action against illegal slaughter houses Karachi, January 23, 2021 (PPI-OT): Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s veterinary department took action against illegal slaughter houses and seized unhygienic and “pressured” 490 kilograms beef and 110 kilograms mutton. The veterinary department carried out raids at Liaquatabad, Gulistan-e-Johar, Pehlwan Goth, Water Pump, Moosa Colony and Nazimabad and handed over the seized meat to Alamgir Trust and Karachi zoo. Veterinary department’s Dr Muhammad Inam, Dr Taj and others took part in the operation while Senior Director Veterinary Jameel Farooqui supervised the operations. On directives of Administrator Karachi Laeeq Ahmed, Senior Director Veterinary Jameel Farooqui formed different teams that are conducting raids across the city to curb sell of pressured and unhygienic meat.

The veterinary department seized 102kg beef and 40kg mutton which was handed over to Alamgir Trust. Senior director veterinary Jameel Farooqui led the operations. It may be noted that Administrator Laeeq Ahmed had directed the veterinary department to take strict action against illegal slaughterhouses to ensure provision of hygienic meat to the people. According to a press statement from the KMC, the veterinary department seized 102kg of beef and 40kg of mutton, which was handed over to Alamgir Trust. Senior Director Veterinary Jameel Farooqui led the operations while Dr Taj and Dr Shafiq were also present on the occasion. Administrator KMC Laeeq Ahmed has directed the veterinary department to take strict action against illegal slaughter houses to ensure the provision of hygienic meat to the people.
