Faisalabad Wasa field staff’s leaves cancelled on Eid days July 21, 2021 FAISALABAD: Leaves of Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) employees have been cancelled from July 20 to 22 in order to deal with any emergency on the Eid-ul-Azha days. Wasa Managing Director Jabbar Anwar Chaudhry said on Monday that the field staff would remain active from July 20 to 22 and promptly take notice of any emergent situation. The officers have also been directed to monitor entire activities of the operation staff so that the citizens could be provided trouble free services of water supply and sewerage in Faisalabad, he added. He appealed to the public to avoid throwing animal entrails in sewer lines as those not only create problems for Wasa but also choke the sewerage system.

National March 11, 2021 FAISALABAD: Wasa Managing Director Jabbar Anwar Chaudhry Wednesday said mega projects worth Rs 55 billion were underway to provide clean drinking water and sewerage facilities to citizens of Faisalabad. Addressing a function organized by All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association and Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce in honour of Wasa officers, the Wasa MD said all these projects would be completed in three years and the state of the city would be changed. He said industrial community is the pride of the city and their problems will be addressed on a priority basis. He said a 44 million gallon wastewater treatment plant worth Rs 19 billion with the support of the Danish government, a French water supply project worth Rs 16 billion Phase II to provide 30 million gallons of drinking water daily would be established.

She was addressing a meeting at WASA office here on Tuesday. Deputy Head of Mission Mrs. Bente Schiller, Commissioner Saqib Manan and WASA officers were also present on the occasion. The ambassador said that this project will have a salutary impact on the overall environment of this fastest growing industrial city and the waste water could be utilized for irrigation purposes.
