Jisshu Sengupta to play single parent in upcoming project Baba Baby O
Actor Jisshu Sengupta is all set to portray a single father through surrogacy in his upcoming Bengali project Baba Baby O. The actor is best known for his work in Shakuntala Devi, Criminal Justice, Durgamati, amongst others. Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee s Windows Productions announced the upcoming film in December last year along with an interesting poster featuring Jisshu and two kids, piquing the interests of the audience about the story.Â
The film is directed by Aritra Mukherjee and revolves around a single father who has twins through surrogacy. The romantic comedy depicts the struggles of Jisshu s character to raise his kids being a single parent.Â

Baba Baby O is directed by Aritra Mukherjee with story and screenplay by Zinia Sen and dialogues by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay. Jisshu Sengupta who is known for his work in Shakuntala Devi, Criminal Justice, Durgamati, amongst others is all set to portray the character of a single father who gets a child through surrogacy in his upcoming Bengali project Baba Baby O, under the banner Windows Productions.

The news was shared by noted Bengali film producers Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Windows Productions on Friday.
Roy said the film is based on a novel concept and she is hopeful that it will capture the hearts of the audience.
Aritra Mukherjee will direct the movie from a screenplay by Zinia Sen and dialogues by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay.
The filmmaker said the film is an intense love story, filled with humour.
“During the lockdown, when Zinia came up with this story, it made our entire team smile from ear to ear. Samragnee immediately started work on the dialogues and we were all set to embark on a new journey,” she added.
