Chief Minister failed to address unemployment, says Shabbir
Former minister and senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir called on the people of Nagarjunasagar Assembly constituency on Tuesday to elect Congress candidate K. Jana Reddy to change the course of Telangana politics.
“Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is spending hundreds of crores for winning elections, to create a false impression that people are with him. Freeing Telangana should start with the defeat of TRS and BJP in Nagarjunasagar,” he said.
He was addressing a meeting with minority leaders in Haliya town, and said people should question the TRS and the BJP governments about the constant price rise and unemployment woes.

The Congress leadership had a virtual meeting with the party leaders right up to the in-charges at mandal-level with a view to step up campaigning for the byelection to Nagarjunasagar Assembly Constituency.
Asking the party leaders not to see the byelection to Nagarjunasagar just as another byelection, AICC in-charge of party affairs in Telangana Manickam Tagore wanted them to put in all out efforts during the 10 days time remaining for electioneering so that the party candidate and senior leader K. Jana Reddy emerged victorious with a good majority.

HYDERABAD: Home minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on Monday assured that the TRS government will resolve all problems of the Muslim community within the state.
Addressing a series of meetings in Yacharam and Kashiwarigudem villages in Anumula mandal of the Nagarjunasagar constituency, the home minister stated that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has all along supported Muslim minorities. Only the Congress treated the minorities as its vote bank.

Hyderabad: As many as 41 candidates are in the fray for the Nagarjunasagar assembly by-election after deadline for withdrawal of nominations on Saturday.
There were 60 valid nominations including 46 from independents after the scrutiny. Of these, 19 independents pulled out. Polling will be held on April 17 and the counting on May 2.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will boost the TRS party’s campaign in the Nagarjunasagar bypoll with a public meeting in Halia on April 14 with a specific target of negating any emotional support for Congress candidate K. Jana Reddy.
Party leaders revealed that though the CM was quite happy with the ongoing campaign, he doesn’t want to leave any scope for a repeat of the Dubbak by-poll result where the party was overconfident despite the strong challenge from the BJP during the campaign.
