In line with directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to protect fishermen and their livelihoods, Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, today handed out assistance to fishermen, ordered by HM the King to fisherman, out of the royal dedication to ensuring decent living to all citizens.
The Capital Governor conveyed HM King Hamad s greetings to fishermen, highlighting HM the King’s closely follow up on Bahraini fishermen s conditions and suffering, and directives to provide care and support to them and their families. I m honoured to present the assistance of HM the King to you for the significant harms you encountered, including your livelihoods and confiscation of your boats by the Qatari authorities, he said.

Member of the “Together for Human Rights Society”, Bashayer Al-Thawadi, has stressed that the politicised campaigns targeting Bahrain do not reflect the kingdom’s professionalism in dealing with the novel coronavirus pandemic, noting that such campaigns seek to undermine the kingdom’s achievements and serve foreign agendas, through clear and inhuman exploitation of the health crisis that the entire world is going through.
Al-Thawadi appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior and all its directorates and employees to ensure that all male and female inmates enjoy their rights guaranteed by the law and confirmed by international legislation, noting that the Ministry’s programmes and initiatives confirm the humanitarian approach adopted by Bahrain.

In a statement, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs said, “HM the King presented an advanced philosophy for reform through his reform project.” He noted that the Charter has contributed to the Kingdom’s comprehensive growth, earning Bahrain international respect.
“The National Action Charter opened all doors for young people to engage in the process of construction and modernization in Bahrain, as they are the real asset and hope for the future,” Shaikh Nasser added.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), said, “The NAC anniversary will remain engraved in the memory of all Bahraini people.” Shaikh Khalid also hailed the wide-ranging development strides led by HM the King.

Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, has inaugurated a virtual workshop on the drafting of the second edition of the National Plan for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science. The event attracted 35 representatives of ministries, authorities and organisations, along with concerned Interior Ministry directorates. The second edition is a continuation of the first one that achieved 97% of its goals.
The Public Security Chief asserted the security accomplishments of unprecedented crime reduction. He said that Bahrain is on the right track, valuing the support and directives of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in enhancing security performance, professionalism and crime-fighting efforts.
