MANAMA, July 10 (Xinhua) Bahrain is among the leading countries in fighting against COVID-19 by mass testing and vaccination, with the capital Manama recognized last month as a Healthy City by the World Health Organisation (WHO), said Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
Bahrain has made swift and clear decisions while combating the pandemic, approving six types of vaccines for citizens and residents free of charge, Shaikh Hisham said in an interview with Xinhua.
He added that 7,700 volunteers in Bahrain participated in the successful phase III clinical trial for the Sinopharm vaccines.
