Weekend Event at Ellis Park to Celebrate First Responders and Military The weekend-long event will celebrate those who serve our community and country. Posted: Jul 1, 2021 12:16 PM Posted By: Adam Kight Starting Thursday, July 1, and lasting through Sunday, July 4, Ellis Park in Henderson, Kentucky, will hold its Military and First Responder Appreciation Weekend. The four-day-long event will include love racing, live music, and other fun activities and giveaways in celebration of those who serve our community and county. Ellis Park will be working in conjunction with Evansville-based Mission BBQ on a giveaway for all current and former military personnel as well as first responders. The giveaway will include a $20 gift certificate to the restaurant, a refillable sauce bottle, a coupon. Two giveaways will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both July 1 and July 2.
