According to a release issued by Northern Railway, the farmers agitation in the state, the Darbhanga-Amritsar Express special train, which was to start on Wednesday, will remain cancelled. While rail blockades by farmers across the state, which started in September-end, were lifted in November, members of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee continue to block passenger trains at Jandiala Guru in Amritsar district.

Another Farmer in Madya Pradesh committed suicide yesterday because the electricity dept has been harassing him. Due to debt and stress, he ended his life. 4. Jashanpreet Singh (18yr Old) s/o Gurmail Singh has passed away at Tikri Border. He was from Bathinda and had arrived today. The cause of death is unknown yet

27 fresh cases reported in Amritsar district

3813 Amritsar: The district health authorities reported 27 new Covid-19 cases on Monday. With this, the count has reached 14,432 in the district. The new cases include 12 influenza like illness cases and 15 contacts of positive patients. The health authorities reported no new deaths today.
