Five teachers from different schools of the region took part in the competition: T. V. Kurzeneva, physical education teacher at the Matrosskaya secondary school; A. M. Makarova, teacher of the Russian language and literature at the Vedlozero school, A. S. Makarova, music teacher at the Essoil secondary school, V. A. Trusikhina, teacher of chemistry at the Chalninsk secondary school; NI Yurik, primary school teacher at the Pryazha school named after Hero of the Soviet Union Maria Melentieva.
Serious tests awaited each contestant: an open lesson, a master class and a three-minute performance in front of an “open microphone”.

On the basis of the Karelian Institute for the Development of Education, the IX Republican Day of the Rural School of the Republic of Karelia took place. The staff and members of the Pedagogical Laboratory of the Rural School of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of PetrSU took part in the scientific and practical events.
The purpose of the conference is to support the development of rural educational organizations in the Republic of Karelia.
Among the participants there are heads and teachers of rural and other educational organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the public pedagogical movement “Association of Rural Schools of the Republic of Karelia” and other public organizations, representatives of educational authorities.
