REDDING, Calif. - A Redding high school student is raising awareness for rare genetic diseases by putting on a bike-a-thon.
High school freshman 15-year-old Chloe Wilder is hosting a Rare Genes Bike-A-Thon. For Wilder, it’s something that hits close to home.
Two of her brothers actually have a rare genetic disorder called Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome. Wilder wants to spread awareness to the community about rare genetic diseases in kids, which is why she’s putting together the bike-a-thon and inviting the community to join.
