2nd Women’s History Month virtual event features 4 Solano women FAIRFIELD The second in a series of Women’s History Month presentations by the Solano Commission for Women and Girls is set for Thursday. Dr. Danette LeBaron, a pediatric physician at Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center and a U.S. Air Force veteran; Kacie Patton, a senior deputy probation officer for the Solano County; Gethsemane Moss, a teacher in the Vallejo City School District, Benicia school board trustee and president and chief executive officer of the Chocolate Daisy Unsilenced nonprofit; and Susan Rotchy, executive director of Independent Living Resources of Solano and Contra Counties, will be featured.

Supervisors laud 2020 accomplishments; assign 2021 roles FAIRFIELD Mitch Mashburn said the Delta and other water issues were too important to the county and the region to let a newcomer be Solano County’s primary voice. The newly seated supervisor said Tuesday he would rather wade into the waters as the alternate voice rather than jump in head first, asking that John Vasquez take the lead on the Delta Protection Commission. Supervisor John Vasquez Mitch Mashburn “I think given the amount of importance and given the amount of (topic) history . . . I would like to ask John Vasquez to take the lead,” Mashburn said. Vasquez accepted.
