Guwahati, April 20 : Over 66 per cent of the 2,532 voters on Tuesday cast their votes in the re-polling in four polling stations in three assembly constituencies in southern Assam, officials said.
Election officials said that there is no untoward incident reported from any of the polling stations under Cachar, Karimganj and Dima Hasao districts. There were certain irregularities were found in these four polling stations, where normal balloting were held in the second phase of Assam assembly polling on April 1, forcing the poll panel to conduct re-polling.

Move follows row over officials transporting EVMs in vehicle by taking a ‘lift’ The Election Commission has ordered re-election at four polling stations across three Assembly constituencies in Assam.
The repoll will be held at Indira M.V. School (Right) under Ratabari constituency, Madhya Dhanehari L.P. School under Sonai and Khothlir L.P. School and Mauldam L.P. School under Haflong on April 20.

The EC Secretary Ajay Kumar Verma wrote a letter to the Assam Chief Electoral Officer Nitin Khade and said that considering all the reports and other circumstances, the EC has ordered re-polling in four polling stations on April 20, news agency IANS reported.

Guwahati, April 10 : The Election Commission (EC) on Saturday has ordered re-polling in four polling stations in three assembly constituencies in southern Assam, where normal balloting were held in the second phase of polling on April 1, officials said.
The Election Commission Secretary Ajay Kumar Verma in a letter to the Assam Chief Electoral Officer Nitin Khade said that considering all the reports and other circumstances, the EC has ordered re-polling in four polling stations on April 20.
