Awards season is here, and the Missouri Tigers have
bunch of Tigers found themselves honorees.
Mizzou Athletics
Brooke Wilmes and Casidy (one
s, I think I’ve been spelling her name incorrectly all season, oops) Chaumont were both named Second Team All-SEC. From the MUTigers.com press release, Brooke leads Mizzou with 16 doubles and ranks in the SEC’s Top 15 in in hits, runs, RBI, doubles, total bases AND stolen bases. Casidy has five multi-hit games in SEC play and recorded nine extra-base hits and 12 RBI over that time.
All-world freshman Jenna Laird was named Freshman of the Year, First Team All-SEC, and to the All-Freshman team. In case you need a reminder of Jenna’s bad-assery, the press release is here to help you out.

A near-half court shot made by Katie Lou Samuelson at the buzzer of the third quarter cut the Seattle Storm’s deficit to just four points, but the Las Vegas Aces (1-1) managed to not squander a big lead, winning the fourth 30-18 and the game 96-80 on Tuesday night at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett. Wash.
Jackie Young notched a career-high 21 points and added 10 rebounds, which tied a career high, to lead the Aces.
“I actually didn’t know (it was a career high) until they said in the locker room,” Young said. “I really just tried to go out there and just be aggressive. I know my teammates have the confidence in me and they trusted me and so I just have to have that same confidence in myself. I just have to have an aggressive mentality every time I step on the floor.”

WNBA 2021 Season Preview
As the 2021 WNBA season approaches, this article will attempt to give an overarching view of some of the year to come in the WNBA. After a unique 2020 campaign, we have another one on tap due to the Summer Olympics interruption in July, cutting the season from 34 to 32 games.
