UG Hip Hop Awards, the entity that prepared the awards with MTN’s support kicked off this year’s edition with the release of nominees for the various categories that were subsequently voted and awarded at the colourful award opening ceremony that took place at the Motiv Warehouse in Kampala. Voting for the hip hop stars was done on the MTN Pulse app and the MTN Pulse microsite through which the MTN Pulsers had visibility of the winners in real time.

Uganda’s film industry under the umbrella body PearlWood in different capacities has nothing but praise MTN Uganda after it debuted a solution to the industry’s challenge of marketing. The solution was to launch a Kibanda Xpress, a Video on Demand (VOD) channel that exclusively shows Uganda films and movies on the YoTV Channels app.

MTN Uganda in partnership with ATechnos have today launched a first of its kind across MTN markets a free gaming service dubbed “MTN GoGames” to offer MTN customers access to a huge catalogue of mobile games that can be played with or without any gaming experience. However, the service has a selection of premium games for advanced game-players, which may be played at a small fee of as low as UGX500 per day or UGX3000 per month.
The games can be played with or without data.
