Municipal representatives met with the board for Cassellholme Home for the Aged Monday to discuss the redevelopment, a project that has proved divisive among certain municipalities over a requirement that they guarantee the full cost of the project, including the portion the province intends to provide.

Although some wording around the guarantee has been changed, all indications suggest Infrastructure Ontario, which would provide the loan, will still require a full guarantee.
Cassellholme board chairman Chris Mayne, who serves as a North Bay city councillor, said Infrastructure Ontario needs the municipalities to indicate whether they agree with the proposed financing option so Cassellholme can submit its application by July 16.
