Khursheed Shah warns govt over terror attacks

SUKKUR: Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Khursheed Shah has said Pakistan has been facing a new wave of terrorist attacks that are causing panic and fear among the people, while the government is on its mission to crush the opposition parties.
While talking to media persons on Monday outside of the NAB Court Sukkur, Syed Khursheed Shah said he was being punished for advocating the supremacy of parliament, saying the government and the opposition have not been performing their responsibilities. He said the country has been facing a new wave of terrorist attacks. He advised the prime minister to immediately consult with the opposition parties to discuss the current situation of the country. He said the government and the opposition should work together to get the country out of the FATF’s grey list, saying that he has been fighting against corruption for the past 32 years and he was being punished for it.

Beijing, April 19 (Gwadar Pro) - Pakistan completed a 15-day trial run of the K9 pure electric bus recently in its largest city Karachi. Co-produced by China s leading new energy vehicle manufacturer BYD and its Pakistani partners, it is the first pure electric bus in Pakistan and the first formal commercial vehicle in Sindh Province.
Karachi, the capital city of Sindh, is a transportation hub connecting Asia, Africa and Europe. It is known as the economic capital of Pakistan.
Sindh Transport Minister Syed Awais Qadir Shah said: We are very excited to welcome Pakistan s first pure electric bus. The successful trial run of the bus in Karachi marks an important step towards electrification. We plan to add 100 such buses within this year, and hope that in the future, pure electric buses will be available all over the country.
Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to purchase 250 diesel hybrid electric buses for public transportation needs of residents of six districts of the province.
The recently held meeting of the Sindh cabinet with Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in chair approved the plan of purchasing the buses under the Sindh Intra-District Peoples’ Bus Service Project.
The project will initially be implemented in the cities of Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, and Shaheed Benazirabad. The project will cost around Rs 8 billion. The Sindh government has already released half amount of the project’s cost.
While chairing the cabinet meeting, the CM termed it a good development for the residents of the six districts.
