MANCHESTER, NH Manchester police are on the scene of a bomb complaint on Cypress Street between Auburn and Massabesic streets, according to the MPD call log.
The area, which is adjacent to the Elliot Hospital, has streets in the area blocked off with heavy police presence.
Police said buildings on Cypress Street were evacuated as a precaution

A man was in custody Wednesday after police in Manchester, New Hampshire say he claimed to have a bomb, prompting the evacuation of multiple buildings in the area.
Manchester police said they responded to 401 Cypress Street around 10 a.m. after receiving reports of a man claiming to have a bomb outside a mental health center.

According to police, officers were able to convince the man, who was agitated and yelling, to move away from the device. The man, identified as Ernesto Mateo, 31, of Manchester, was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.
