KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of Services Dr. Abdullah Ma’arafichaired the second coordination meeting with the relevant state authorities to complete the procedures for issuing building permits to citizens who got plots of land to build houses in Mutla’a Residential City and the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak. The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) said in a press statement the meeting decided to announce next week the dates for issuing building permits for these two residential cities. During the meeting, the owners of the plots have called for overcoming difficulties and overcoming obstacles at each site to help expedite work.

New anti-virus measures are being implemented at the country’s general hospital as Barbados grapples with its second wave of the coronavirus, Executive Chairman of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland said on Thursday.
She outlined to journalists a range of major changes to the hospital’s daily operations.
But the sheer magnitude of the measures is expected to put tremendous pressure on the hospital’s finances and manpower, hospital officials said.
