According to the COVID-19 Suppression Performance Action Review Committee, between 500 and 600 new cases of COVID-19 are reported every day islandwide and the number of recovered cases is around 500.
The Action Review Committee met under the patronage of the Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi at the auditorium of the Ministry of Health this morning (16).
As between 500-600 cases are reported daily, the attention of the Minister of Health was drawn to the expeditious setting up of treatment centers for the infected patients.
