Apex Legends Season 8 Begins, Game Will Expand Over the Coming Year

Wednesday, February 03, 2021 Apex Legends Season 8 has now begun, introducing a new Legend, weapon, Gold-tier magazines, and a severe shake up of the King’s Canyon map. Other changes include a new Mayhem Battle Pass and a new Ranked Season, as well as general quality of life improvements. The game has done incredibly well for Respawn and EA, and the teams are planning to expand the franchise even more over the next year. The new season introduces the game’s 16th Legend, Fuse. His interest in all things explosive gives him extra grenades that he can throw further and with more accuracy than other Legends. He has a Knuckle Cluster passive ability, a cluster bomb that throws out airburst explosives continuously. The Motherlode is his ultimate ability; he uses Wally to fire a bombardment that surrounds the target area in a wall of flames.

Apex Legends Mayhem Kings Canyon Map Changes for Season 8 Revealed On 1/26/21 at 3:45 PM EST Apex Legends Season 8 is set to debut February 2, so the game s developers at Respawn Entertainment have finally decided to reveal how Kings Canyon will change alongside the Mayhem Battle Pass. To celebrate the arrival of Fuse, the first Apex map just got a hole blown through it. The details arrive courtesy of a blog post published Tuesday morning. In the source post, Respawn World Director Eduardo Agostini explains that the main goal with these new map changes is to make Kings Canyon rotations more fun and less bothersome in the northern part of the arena. Developers are hoping to accomplish this by opening up lanes for travel, providing new gameplay mechanics and removing areas that grew too cluttered to be effective.
