At their Wednesday meeting, the council appointed Kevin Loy for the vacant at-large position.
Loy brings eight years on the planning commission and four years on the council previously, as well as nearly 20 years on the parks board.
He is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. The Sedro-Woolley City Council will appoint a new councilmember at a study session Wednesday night.
The new councilmember will replace Jared Couch, who resigned his seat October 31st.
The council will interview the 12 candidates and select one of them for the open seat.
The public is welcome to attend the session via from 6 to 8pm.
