The Wolverines are intent on landing a lead-guard type for the 2022 class with Devante Jones and Zeb Jackson the only potential upperclassmen guards on the current roster a year from now. Jones may have professional aspirations and attrition in contemporary basketball is the expectation rather than the exception.
Things are heating up fast, with visits three visits set to kick-off over the next two weeks. This may very well be a race to commit first. The latest below.
5-star
Jaden Bradley has long been the number one priority for the lead guard in 2022, but the recent outlook wasn t all that promising with a Kentucky commitment thought to be imminent in January and North Carolina picking up a crystal ball last week.

Juwan Howard has two primary options at this point, and scheduled back-to-back visits for each in a calculated move that will undoubtedly expedite the decision-making process in an effort to gain the first commitment of the 2022 class.

4-star guard Seth Trimble will take an official visit to Ann Arbor on June 13th. Things are moving quickly here after the Wolverines extended an offer a few weeks back. The Milwaukee-area native hasn't necessarily been discreet about his love for Michigan and his quotes to 247 yesterday continue to solidify his affinity for the Maize and Blue.
“I can't wait to go visit, I've heard many great things
Dug McDaniel is #1 in orange and is a Michigan recruit at PG. He's listed at 5'9" playing again DJ Wagner #21 in black. He is 6'3" and the #1 rated PG in the 2023 class. You can see some of the issues Dug will have at the next level playing against size.
Idk, Emoni looks good for sure, but he has never really jumped off the screen to me. In this game, I feel like I am seeing at least 2-3 prospects who are more intriguing and appear to have a more well-rounded game than he does. Of course I m a hater, and I really try to put that aside, but I feel like there is plenty he still needs to work on with his game. He can shoot it, and this video shows that he is not attacking the basket with his head down nearly as much as he used to, which is good news for him. But one thing that I noticed in the countless videos that I have seen of him is how much he celebrates every single bucket he scores. Rarely does he put the ball in and collect himself for defense and get back down to business. Every bucket is its own celebration where you might think it was a game winning shot or his 100th point of the game. He also has a lot of length, but absolutely no bulk. He appears to have some lateral quickness issues just looking at how he tries to move wit
Seth Trimble earlier this week and it certainly sounds as if this is an opportunity that he coveted for quite some time based on his comments to 247 on Tuesday. It felt shocking. I couldn’t really do much but put a huge smile on my face and thank them for the opportunity. We were basically just finishing up a conversation, you know? Talking about what he liked most about my game and whatnot. Then (the offer) just came like that.
Things are heating up quickly with the Milwaukee-area native, as he locked in an official visit to Ann Arbor during the second week of June per the same article cited above. Though 247 message board chatter says Seth will re-schedule the OV to ensure numerous family members can also make the trip. Bringing in multiple family members for a visit generally bodes well and speaks to a certain level of interest in the host-school.
