Crash closes I-24W near Pleasant View

PLEASANT VIEW, Tenn. (WTVF) â A multiple-vehicle crash closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 in Cheatham County near Pleasant View.
The two-vehicle crash was reported just after 6 p.m. at mile marker 26. Officials say one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
All lanes of I-24W were closed while emergency crews responded. It was cleared by around 9 p.m.

Discussions concerning student physical examinations and consent were at the forefront last week during the Cheatham County School board s regular meeting.
Fourth district board member, James Gupton, argued fervidly against language being used to outline the necessity of consent in conducting physical examinations where child abuse or neglect is suspected.
“I really don’t see where consent is needed,” Gupton said. “When it comes down to the schools, we don’t have to have probable cause. We can work off of reasonable suspicion.
“Our school system is trusted and dedicated to children, to feed the children, our school nurses help them with their medications.
