Second-degree murder charge laid in Saddle Lake Cree Nation homicide

Article content A man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the homicide of a 25-year-old man on Saddle Lake Cree Nation. Just after 9 a.m. on June 7, St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of a gunshot heard at a home on the nation, and a vehicle fleeing. Francis Primeau, of Saddle Lake Cree Nation, was pronounced dead at the scene. On June 25, RCMP charged Charlton Dwight Gladue, 34, of Saddle Lake Cree Nation, with second-degree murder. Gladue was remanded into custody and will appear in St. Paul provincial court on July 8.
