Douglas GP practice prepares to move to new premises

Staff at Finch Hill GP practice in Douglas will move to their new premises in Chester Street in the town centre next month. The busy practice has outgrown the Finch Hill surgery and is to relocate to premises which were previously home to the Promenade GP practice, which closed in June last year. The new venue offers more space and a greater range of facilities, and has been refurbished ahead of the Finch Hill move. The transfer of equipment and records has been organised to take place over a weekend, to prevent any disruption to patient appointments.

A busy GP practice in Douglas is moving, next week, to a bigger space in the town s centre.
The Finch Hill surgery is relocating to Chester Street, in the former Promenade GP practice, but will keep its name Finch Hill .
The doors of the original Finch Hill will close after the close of day on Friday (4 June) at 6pm and due to open up on Monday, 7 June, in its new home at 8am in the new premises.
The new venue is set to offer a wider range of facilities and has been refurbished ahead of the move.
Managing agent sought to run new £6.7m health and wellbeing facility in Wrexham
A managing agent is being sought to run a new £6.7m health and wellbeing facility being created in Wrexham.
Changes to the ground floor of the local authority’s offices on Chester Street are designed so residents can access a number of services under the same roof, including health and social care.
The project is being delivered jointly by Wrexham Council, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and AVOW (Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham) with the help of funding from the Welsh Government.
The organisations involved are now seeking a managing agent to oversee the day to day running of the facility.

RCMP still aren’t saying much about a homicide investigation in Yarmouth.
Late Monday night, a 41 year old man died of a gunshot wound in centre town.
Police were called to a home on King Street, and found the man outside.
Paramedics tried to treat the victim, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Most of the investigation has been focused on neighbouring Chester Street.
