Buyers could choose between multiple body styles, although only three (the Malibu coupe, convertible, and the El Camino) were available with the popular SS package. Sadly, this 1970 model, stuck in a barn for several years, isn’t an SS.
Still, its owner asks for $16,995 according to the Craigslist ad, which could be considered a little steep for a car that doesn’t drive. Under its hood is a big-block V8 unit that’s said to be “broken” (not a very good term to use), although somebody did get to put 75,000 miles (120,700 km) on it before the car was discarded.

As you can see in the photos here, this Chevelle is a barn find, but what’s even more important, it can be your barn find. In other words, you can be the one pulling the car from storage and giving it a thorough cleaning to figure out if it’s worth restoring or not.
The car is likely still parked in the garage where it was found, but unfortunately, the Facebook seller provides only very little information about the car. So for example, we only know the Chevelle comes with a 283 (4.6-liter) engine, but this one is said to be blown, so it’ll require massive fixes before it can start once again. The unit is mated to a 2-speed transmission.
