Bayada Home Health Care honors nurses with gifts and free car wash

 WEST NORRITON — Who doesn’t appreciate a free car wash? The staff at Bayada Home Health Care Paoli Pediatrics office transformed their parking lot into a car wash recently to honor Bayada nurses of Norristown and Paoli by getting down to work and sending the nurses on their way with sparkling vehicles. The event was part of Bayada’s national Nurses Week campaign, which ended May 12, noted director Matt Lewars. - Advertisement -  “Our team is very invested in recognition and making sure our nursing team feels appreciated, especially after this past year,” he said. “We have a lot of creative minds on this team. Our recruiting manager, Jacquie McCarry, put together an entire Nurses Week agenda, basically something different every day. Somebody mentioned the possibility of a car wash and we were able to get it cleared through building management. It worked out really well because our building parking lot is configured nicely for a car wash.”

COVID-19 Simcoe Muskoka: RVH ICU doctors write special letter of appreciation for Nursing Week

  BARRIE, ONT. The week of May 10 is Nursing Week, and this year the theme is #WeAnswerTheCall. The COVID-19 pandemic illuminated the courage of nurses and every frontline worker who is committed to answering that call. In the ICU, these nurses stepped up and formed an incredible workforce, said Dr. Chris Martin, RVH critical care chief and director. It is an honour to work alongside them, he added. To show their appreciation, a group of intensive care doctors at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre penned a letter about the nurses and entire ICU team at the Barrie hospital, putting into words how valued they have been throughout the pandemic.

Nurses in Shelby are celebrating Nurses Month

As the country turns the corner from the coronavirus, nurses are still recovering from what has been a long season of laboring. Veronica Poole-Adams, facility executive and chief nurse executive at Atrium Health Cleveland is reminding everyone what nurses have gone through and how dedicated her staff has been. “Nurses are amazing people,” said Poole-Adams. “I feel they are the glue of healthcare. I am honored to be part of such a wonderful nursing team.” What started out as Nurses Week has turned into a month-long celebration, according to the American Nurses Association. Poole-Adams, who has given 39 years of service, said nurses are the glue to healthcare and pointed to the relentless care and treatment given through the pandemic.
