IRMC TO OFFER COVID VACCINE TONIGHT IN DOWNTOWN INDIANA By Hometown1

The Indiana Regional Medical Center makes another foray into an alternative venue for distributing the covid-19 vaccine tonight. After visiting the Chevy Chase Community Center last week, IRMC will set up a booth tonight to administer vaccinations at Downtown Indiana’s Third Thursday event at IRMC Park on North Seventh Street.
No appointment is necessary to get the vaccine, and it is available to anyone age 12 or over, with those under age 18 needing to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
IRMC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Richard Neff says taking the vaccine to a different location, and in this case an outdoor location on a warm evening, will not be a problem.

The Comprehensive Plan update currently being debated in the DC Council isn’t the only planning document in the works. Also on the Office of Planning’s to-do list are three Small Area Plans supplements to the Comprehensive Plan that provide more detailed guidelines for development in a given area.
The Comprehensive Plan is, well, comprehensive, but Small Area Plans (SAPs) are granular. They scope out existing conditions, survey stakeholders, and hold public meetings to come up with very specific recommendations to guide development in a given area. The plans are approved by the DC Council as legislation.
