Victorville sheriff s officials say there is no winner in illegal street racing

A recent incident has prompted San Bernardino County Sheriff s officials in Victorville Sheriff’s to urge drivers, and parents of teen drivers, to consider the consequences of illegal street racing.
On Wednesday, the Victorville Sheriff’s Station reported that on Jan. 31, Deputy A. Hylin witnessed a Nissan Versa and a Chevy Cobalt in front of him driving northbound on Ridgecrest Road.
As the two vehicles came side by side, both drivers accelerated and allegedly started to race one another. They stopped at a red light, then continued to race, the report said.

The 21-year-old was the driver of a Saturn sedan that was in a crash with a Chevy Cobalt about 2:50 a.m. in the 11900 block of South Parnell Avenue, police said.
Pasco Police Recover Stolen Car-Searching for Suspect
It s not every day that police get lucky enough to find a stolen vehicle, but, that s exactly what happened Monday morning. One of Pasco s finest came upon a 2007 red Chevy Cobalt that was reported stolen out of Kennewick several days ago. The car was found at 1:30 am in the alley near 14th and Agate.
Officers searched the area with K9 Brit, however, no suspect was located in the area.
The vehicle was stolen from the 800 block of South Olympia in Kennewick on Tuesday morning, December 29th, 2020.
