Volunteer opportunities in RI, week of Feb. 7 The Providence Journal © United Way of Rhode Island United Way of Rhode Island The needs of two local nonprofits top this week’s list of volunteer opportunities, with both organizations seeking help with multiple aspects of their work. Rhode Island Blood Center is recruiting greeters for its centers in Providence, South County, Westerly and Woonsocket, and on Aquidneck Island. Volunteers provide assistance at the site’s entrance and in refreshment areas and watch for possible reactions post-donation to alert staff. Single monthly and weekly shifts are offered.
