CBA and Shelby Chamber announce partnership

Chelsea Business Alliance President Donna Bowles and Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Chair Chris Grace announce the partnership of the two organizations during the Fire at the Foothills event April 17.
The Chelsea Business Alliance is under new leadership and also has a new partnership with the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce.
On May 1, the two organizations will begin working more closely together on a variety of programs for their respective investors and internally with staffing support provided by the Shelby County Chamber.
Donna Bowles is the 2021 president of the CBA. In her new role, her goal is to open back up the lines of communication within the cityâs businesses and along with an active Board of Directors and the support of the chamber and the city, to provide a place to meet each month and share the successes, growth and pride of Chelsea.

Join the Beautification Committee
Interested in beautifying the City? There is a Beautification Committee that meets monthly with the City Manager, ISD and the DPW to talk about trash and problem properties and to consider beautification initiatives such as improved signage, cigarette butlers and public art. Chelsea Eats Card Extended
The City wants to announce that the Chelsea Eats program has been extended for another month, so please keep the card. The fifth distribution will occur at the end of March. The City hopes to extend the Program beyond June 30. Stay tuned for further updates. The City wants to thank all city partners for their tireless fundraising efforts. During the March 16 Chelsea City Council meeting, mayor Tony Picklesimer shared in his mayor s report that two new restaurants will be opening in Chelsea later this year.Â
âIâm excited to announce that Southern Wings has purchased property next to Tractor Supply and will be opening Arbyâs on one lot and the Buffalo Wild Wings on the other lot on Atchison Parkway,â he said.Â
Tim Spencer and Sterling Barbour, partners with Southern Wings Inc. Buffalo Wild Wings Franchises Central Alabama Area, approached mayor Tony Picklesimer about wanting to bring the new eating options to the city.Â
