Student grades have started to rebound in Salt Lake City School District after taking a dramatic dive this fall when learning was entirely online due to the pandemic.
The most recent academic term ended in March when students were back in school in person for the first time. For that period, about 500 fewer middle school and high school students received an F than at the beginning of the school year. And those who got all Fâs on their report cards decreased by 90%.

SALT LAKE CITY â The Salt Lake City School District is preparing to bring students back to the classroom in February. SLCSD is the only district in the state to currently not offer in-person learning options.
The Salt Lake City School Board voted to allow secondary students to return to in-person learning in a hybrid style beginning February 8.
This is the same date elementary school students are expected to return for in-person learning. Secondary students will return to the classroom two days a week and then will remain online for the remaining three days.
