The centre will provide free workshops A NEW arts centre is set to open its doors to aspiring young creatives next month in Mitcham. The Green Arts Centre, based at Cricket Green School, has been funded by LB Merton’s Neighbourhood Fund and will be offering free theatre and dance workshops to Mitcham youth. Located at Cricket Green School, the centre will include features such as state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment with a dance floor, a flexible stage and a brand-new cinema-quality projector and screen. From September, there will an exciting programme of theatre, music and dance classes for all ages from 6-18 years- which will be offered to children in Mitcham at either at low cost or for free.
