The new provincial stay-at-home emergency order has landed another brutal blow to many employees forced to stay home and hunker down until the COVID hurricane passes us by.
Those who can remotely log in to work are often considered the lucky ones; but even these workers have been subject to questionable treatment at times. Employers are tightening their belts, cancelling raises and promotions, and in some cases even slashing salaries.
