Arrest warrants for felony theft were served Wednesday by Hopkinsville police against a local woman.
One alleges that 41-year old Cheryl McGuire of Hopkinsville rented a 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse from Enterprise on October 13 and has not returned it.
Another warrant alleges McGuire rented an Xbox and smart television from Rent A Center in July and has not returned it.

WOOD RIVER Mayor Cheryl Maguire said Thursday she has revoked the liquor license of The Stallion Bar at 53 W. Ferguson Ave.
The action comes after a police serving a warrant on Dec. 23 uncovered what building inspectors called “uninhabitable” conditions and two people were charged with drug-related felonies.
In addition to revoking the liquor license, Maguire said Wood River Fire Chief Wade Stalhut has deemed firefighters will not enter the building in its current condition.

WOOD RIVER City officials are waiting for the results of an ongoing investigation into activities at The Stallion, a bar located at 53 W. Ferguson Drive, before considering any additional action against the business, including revoking its liquor license.
The bar was the subject of a raid when Alton police executed a search warrant there on Dec. 23. As a result of the raid, which led to several arrests, building inspectors deemed the structure “uninhabitable” and closed it down.
“I spoke to Chief (Brad) Wells yesterday,” Mayor Cheryl Maguire said Wednesday. “They’re still following through with investigations.”

WOOD RIVER At the last city council meeting, the city notified the public that it has suspended water shut offs and customers can contact the city of Wood River’s finance department about making payment arrangements and also receive assistance in managing their water service bills.
Mayor Cheryl Maguire said the goal is to help citizens during this resurgence of COVID-19.
She also presented virtual Certificates of Recognition to the following:
• Joe Parmentier, former East Alton Wood River High School coach, for his recent election to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame
• Leigh Robinson, current principal at East Alton-Wood River High School, on being named the Southwest Division Secondary Principal of the Year for the Illinois Principals Association

WOOD RIVER City officials on Wednesday closed The Stallion bar in Wood River, after deeming the building unsafe.
Wood River and Alton police executed a search warrant at the business at 53 W. Ferguson Ave., Wood River, after a drug investigation by the Alton Police Drug Unit. Two people were taken into custody as a result of the search warrant, according to Wood River authorities.
