Five graduating seniors, part of the first group of students to earn the Global Readiness Certificate (GRC), were being honored for their achievement during a small in-person celebration in the MacMillan Hall Great Room. It was a time to celebrate, but also a time to reflect on the extraordinary team effort that made it possible.

Loudonville Council hears revised large vehicle parking ban Jim Brewer Special to the Ashland Times-Gazette LOUDONVILLE  Village council heard the first reading of a revision to the at times controversial ordinance to prohibit parking of large vehicles for extended periods on village streets at its regular meeting Monday. The revised ordinance was approved on the first of three required readings. It was prompted by frequent complaints, and concerns, voiced about large vehicles, such as trailers, motor homes, campers, boats, semi-trailers, recreational vehicles and similar equipment, parked on streets and taking up so much space that two vehicles could not safely pass by each other.

Fatal crash kills moped driver after collision with school bus in Dearborn Even after slamming on brakes the bus continued through the intersection. The moped the victim was driving, was wedged under the bus. There was a school bus that was heading east on Tireman and the moped was heading southbound on Oakman and he didn’t fully stop on the stop side and she ran over him, said Zeinab Elhadi, a witness.
