CONCERNS: Alice Barnett, owner of the Worcester and Madresfield Early Years Centre A NURSERY leader has said she feels the sector has been “almost forgotten” after the government took the decision to close schools, but keep early years settings open this lockdown. There has been mounting pressure on ministers to prove scientific evidence nurseries can stay open safely after the country’s biggest union, Unison, said they should close to most children. Some Worcester parents have said they don’t believe the settings are safe, taking the decision to take their child out of nursery and keeping them at home.
