COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - South Carolina officials announced the state will move to phase 1b of its vaccine distribution plan on Monday, March 8.
This will allow roughly 2.7 million people in the state to get the vaccine, officials said.
It includes teachers, essential workers, and everyone 55 and older. People at higher risk for severe COVID-19 disease because of medical conditions, or living or work conditions, are also included.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - People with COVID-19 vaccination appointments at Gamecock Park in Columbia need to go to a different location on Thursday, Feb. 18.
Due to weather, Prisma Health has moved all Gamecock Park appointments for the day to the Baptist Hospital Breast Health building located at 1501 Sumter Street in downtown Columbia.
People should park in the garage attached to the building.
Those who had appointments at Gamecock Park that were disrupted by weather on other days may also go to get their vaccine at Baptist Hospital on Thursday.
Vaccine for 65+ and those with two underlying health issues can now get in line
With the announcement by Health and Human Services yesterday that Massachusetts will enter the next stage of the Phase 2 COVID-19 vaccine plan, appointments at the St. Elizabeth Parish Center in North Adams are available immediately for the clinics on Thursday, February 18 and Saturday, February 20 according to the North Adams Facebook post. People who want to sign up for a vaccination appointment can begin doing so immediately by visiting getvaccinatedberkshires.org, clicking on Make An Appointment, and choosing either the February 18 or February 20 options. When registering, please select the 75+ age group eligibility until the 65-year-old option is available in the state registration system.
