Yorkshire-based brand Cut & Pin was launched in November 2020 by Alan Baker and Martin Parker, who met while working at Pure Cashmere. Parker was head of design and left in 2019, and Baker was digital and ecommerce director at the brand, and left in 2020.

The brand s collections are based on three sustainability pillars: product is made from either deadstock fabric – leftover material that might otherwise be taken to landfill – as well as organic fabrics, or recycled materials.
Its most recent launch is the four-piece Made in England collection, which includes an over-shirt made from deadstock comprising of navy Melton wool produced in the 180-year-old Abraham Moon mill in Yorkshire. The mill designs, dyes, blends, spins and weaves the raw wool on site, and the shirt is finished with recycled buttons.
