MOSCOW, MAY 20, 2021 - RT America (?&R Productions) has been named as a finalist at one of the most prestigious international television competitions - the Monte-Carlo Television Festival. The channel s nightly news show, hosted by Emmy and Peabody Award winner Rick Sanchez, has been nominated for its coverage of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. News with Rick Sanchez made it to the finals in the News Coverage category for its reporting about the protests in Armenia after it signed a truce agreement with Azerbaijan. RT is competing against Al Jazeera English, France Televisions and others in the same category.

Arts and Entertainment
Winner: Johanna Schneller, Globe and Mail, for columns tackling the subject of gender identity and gender politics in the arts world.
Finalists: Améli Pineda, Le Devoir, for an investigation into accusations by nine women about assault or sexual misconduct by comedian Julien Lacroix; Jean Siag, La Presse, for articles about sexual abuse and misconduct in the circus industry.
