Nearly 4,900 COVID-19 vaccines were administered in Renfrew County and district the week of April 12, the highest one-week total to date.
According to the COVID-19 Vaccine News Brief released by the RCD COVID-19 Vaccine Communications Committee April 22, a total of 26,134 doses have been administered as of April 18, with 24,063 residents of Renfrew County and district receiving at least one dose of the vaccine.

Among those recently vaccinated are Dr. Robert Cushman, acting medical officer of health for the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) and Ann Aikens, chairwoman of the RCDHU board of health. Both received the AstraZeneca shot, Cushman at a clinic at the Pembroke Memorial Centre and Aikens at a clinic in Chalk River.
