When I reported my first news story back in 2015, I did not anticipate that it would eventually lead me out of Ohio and into the West. I had no idea the rollercoaster that journalism would be, and continues to be, as a career.
I had no idea that I would fall in love with providing residents the information they deserve and need to know.
To that end, I hope I can be of service to this city.
I moved from Athens, Ohio, to Pueblo late last month after News Director Luke Lyons offered me the politics reporter position at The Chieftain. The move meant giving up my position as associate editor at the Athens Messenger, a small daily in rural southeastern Ohio that I’ve grown a bit protective of due to the amount of content I was involved with publishing.
