TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Police are asking anyone with information to come forward about a shooting incident late last night on the south side.
On May 2, 2021, just after 2:00 a.m., officers from Operations Division South were dispatched to a shooting at a bar, located at 5244 S. Nogales Highway.
Upon arrival, officers were directed to a security guard in the parking lot who was performing CPR on an unresponsive male. Officers took over lifesaving efforts as the male had obvious signs of gunshot trauma. Tucson Fire Medics arrived and continued rendering first aid; however, the male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A driver has been arrested after detectives say a pedestrian was struck in a parking lot following a confrontation yesterday.
On April 30, 2021, at 3:20 p.m., a patrol officer driving near the 4000 block of S. 12th Ave. was flagged down. Several bystanders reported that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Additional officers from Operations Division South and Tucson Fire personnel responded to the injured pedestrian, who was located in the parking lot of 4010 S. 12th Ave. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Banner University Medical Center.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on the south side last week.
On March 5, just before 9 p.m., officers from Operations Division South were dispatched to the area of West Valencia Road and South Commerce Court for a report of a collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive man identified as 43-year-old Santos Fidel Thomas in the roadway and immediately began rendering aid to him. Personnel from the Tucson Fire Department responded and transported Thomas to Banner University Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Thomas later died at the hospital. Next of kin has been notified.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A man is facing an aggravated assault charge after a road-rage incident ended in a fatal shooting in Tucson on Thursday, March 4.
The Tucson Police Department said David Anthony Rivera, 31, fired five shots at another vehicle after a near collision near Interstate 19 and West Valencia Road.
One of those shots hit Rudolph Vega, 27, in the head. Vega, who was a passenger in the other vehicle, died at a local hospital. Authorities said Rivera may face additional charges.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A driver is facing charges after officers say he was impaired at the time of a collision that killed another driver late last night.
On February 21, 2021, just after 12:40 a.m., officers from Operations Division South were dispatched to the intersection of S. Campbell Ave. and E. Bilby Rd. for a serious-injury collision involving two passenger vehicles.
The collision involved a red 1998 Jeep Cherokee and a white 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. Sadly, the driver the Malibu was pronounced deceased at the scene and has been identified as 24-year-old Reina Alexis Cota. Next of kin has been notified.
