Four Gaithersburg police officers have been identified as being involved in the fatal shooting on Friday of a man after a chase.
Four plain clothes officers approached the man identified on Saturday as 24-year-old Kwamena Ocran as he was walking in the area of 14. S. Frederick Ave. after receiving a report that he was armed with a handgun.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A Hereford man is behind bars today after being arrested for five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to a news release from the Sierra Vista Police Department, 60-year-old Lawrence Legault was at the center of an investigation that began in November.
Officials received a tip that Legault was uploading illicit images of children to a cloud storage account. Several search warrants were issued by the Cochise County Superior Court to Internet Service Providers, which then provided additional information verifying the illegal conduct.

Armed 79-year-old man dies after shot by officers during incident in Prince William County, police say
Authorities say an armed 79-year-old man who was shot by officers during an incident in Prince William County died from his injuries overnight.
DUMFRIES. Va. - Five Prince William County police officers who were involved in the deadly shooting of a man in Dumfries in December have been cleared.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Amy Ashworth released a statement regarding the incident on Monday.
According to prosecutors, the police responded to the home on Secret Grove Court after a woman reported that her husband had a gun and he was suicidal.
Prince William County Commonwealthâs Attorney Amy Ashworth has found the police departmentâs use of deadly force in the Dec. 10 shooting of a 79-year-old Dumfries-area man as âboth justified and reasonable.â
According to an investigation conducted by her office, the five officers involved faced âimminent bodily harmâ as Kurtis Kay Frevert âraised his gun at the officers while walking towards them and saying, âshoot me.ââ
The Prince William County Police Department on Monday morning released the names of the officers involved and a detailed timeline of what happened that night.
Officers were called to Secret Grove Court in the Four Seasons community off Va. 234 at 7:14 p.m. after Frevertâs wife reported her husband was suicidal, making concerning statements and armed with a handgun.
