Bhubaneswar: May 22: Odisha registered 11,108 fresh Covid Positive cases on May 21. Out of that, 6219 people were in quarantine and rest 4,889 are from local contacts.
Khurda district recorded 1451 new cases, followed by Cuttack 944 cases, Angul 864 cases, Sundergarh 708 cases, Mayurbhanj 635 cases, Balasore 509 cases, Bhadrak 489 cases and Puri 473 cases.
Except Kalahandi, rest 29 districts of Odisha recorded more than 100 cases. Only, Kalahandi registered 39 cases.
Also, Odisha reported 10,881 new recoveries yesterday. Odisha’s total number of recoveries so far reached 5,67,382.
Total positive cases increased to 6,79,530.
Active cases number increased to 1,09,639.

Bhubaneswar: March 16: India registered 24,492 new Corona Positive Cases in last 24 hours. Five States,Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, continue to report a surge in the COVID daily new cases. 79.73% of the new cases are reported from these states in the past 24 hours.
Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 15,051. It is followed by Punjab with 1,818 while Kerala reported 1,054 new cases.
Eight states are displaying an upward trajectory in daily new cases. These are Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka and Haryana.
Kerala is reporting a consistently declining trend over the last one month.
