BURT TOWNSHIP Two Greenville residents received minor injuries in a rollover accident on southbound I-75 in Burt Township Monday morning during the snow storm the area was experiencing that day.
Cheboygan County Sheriff Dale Clarmont said deputies with his department were dispatched around 11:06 a.m. on Feb. 8 to southbound I-75 near the 318 mile marker for the rollover accident. When the deputy arrived on scene, he found a 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser on its side in the median, between the lanes of travel. There was an unrelated vehicle in the ditch, blocking a portion of I-75 south, said Clarmont. The driver attempted to slow down and lost control.

WOLVERINE A 21 year old Wolverine man was not injured after he lost control and rolled his vehicle on South Straits Hwy, in Wilmot Township near Shire Road Feb. 5.
Cheboygan County Sheriff Dale Clarmont said deputies with his department were dispatched to the one vehicle rollover accident around 3:49 p.m. last Friday. When the deputies arrived on the scene, they found a 2018 Ford Escape, driven by the Wolverine man, on its roof, in the ditch. When he reached for an object, it caused him to drift to the shoulder of the road and lose control, said Clarmont.

Mackinac Island’s new, custom ambulance is a tribute to its history

MACKINAC ISLAND, MI – A fancy new ambulance is ready to go on Mackinac Island.
Mackinac Island EMS, and its parent company Cheboygan Life Support Systems, unveiled the new, custom-designed ambulance on Monday by sharing photos of it near iconic views and attractions on Mackinac Island.
The photos taken by Katharine Rose Witt show the ambulance in front of the Mackinac Bridge and Round Island Light, on the island’s bluffs and next to Sugar Loaf Rock.
The ambulance features graphic designs by Adam Thompson and his team at Graphix Gurus in Zeeland including a custom logo of a horse-drawn ambulance from the island’s past and graphics depicting plants, lanterns, an American flag and faux siding and doors.
